Falconets Beat England 3-0 to Reach U-20 Women’s World Cup Quarter-finals
Nigeria’s Falconets defeated England 3-0 in the Round of 16 at the 2026 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup in Poland. Tosin Rafiu opened the scoring in the eighth minute. Janet Akekoromowei and Mary Mamudu added second-half goals in the 47th and 73rd minutes to seal a commanding win. The Falconets reached the knockout stage after finishing second in Group F, following a draw with China and a 10-1 win over New Caledonia. Nigeria will now await their quarter-final opponents as they chase a first title in the competition.
