Open Letter to Daniel Bwala: Stop Gaslighting Nigerians on Suffering

Open Letter to Daniel Bwala: Stop Gaslighting Nigerians on Suffering

I write as a Nigerian who wakes up every day to the same hardships you now defend. You once held this government to account. Today you defend every policy, every contradiction, every hardship. Claiming that someone on ₦60,000 is “better off” than Nigerians who left the country is false and cruel. ₦60,000 can’t feed a family, can’t cover power bills, can’t win a bank loan. Meanwhile essentials like food, transport, school fees and healthcare are out of reach. Communication should build trust, not spin. Admit where policies hurt people, propose fixes, share timelines. Nigerians deserve honesty, not comparisons to life abroad.
