When a C300 Driver Chased Me: My Experience with Street Harassment

I’m a 20-year-old 300-level student. After a busy day at school and riding horses at the polo field, I decided to take a stroll around my area. Suddenly, a man in a C300 started honking and following me. I usually ignore catcalls, but his audacity shocked me. This incident reminded me of the many times I’ve been harassed since I was 12 or 13. Once, a man even groped me in public. Now I carry protection and won’t hesitate to defend myself. I’m grateful for the confidence I’ve built and how fast I’ve grown mentally. But I feel sorry for young girls still dealing with unworthy men who think they can disrespect us so easily.
