FG Opens Free Solar Installation Training in Lagos and Abeokuta
The Federal Government, in partnership with Siemens Energy and GIZ, has opened applications for a free three-week Solar Photovoltaic installation training programme. The programme offers classroom lessons, practical fieldwork, technical site visits and competency assessments. Successful participants will receive COREN certification after completing the training. Applicants with or without prior technical experience may apply, including recent ND, HND and undergraduate graduates, young professionals and people interested in renewable energy. Training will hold in Lagos and Abeokuta, while meals will be provided on training days. Applicants must be available for the full three-week physical programme and should apply before 4:00 p.m. on Friday, September 18, 2026. Accommodation and transport costs will be borne by participants.
