Did Jesus Abolish the Law of Moses or Fulfil It?

Matthew 5:16–18 teaches that Jesus did not come to destroy the Law or the Prophets, but to fulfil them. The passage says that not even the smallest part of the law will pass away until all is fulfilled. I believe Christians should take this teaching seriously. The claim that God’s law is no longer relevant can lead believers away from obedience, salvation and true prosperity. How should Christians understand Jesus’ fulfilment of the Law of Moses today?
