Nigerian car dealer Adesuwa Renee Ogiozee, known as Renee5star, says she has regained her freedom after spending three years under investigation in the United States over an alleged romance scam involving a customer. The customer, Joseph Olawuyi Olaosebikan, was accused of defrauding a victim of about $560,000. Ogiozee maintained that she only had a professional relationship with him and knew nothing about the alleged fraud. She said the case placed her under strict monitoring, including an ankle device, and left her emotionally drained. Reports say US investigators and courts found no evidence linking her to the alleged scam, leading to the dismissal of the charges.
