Fresh facts have emerged that the embattled cross-dresser, Idris Okuneye popularly known as Bobrisky who was sentenced to a six-month jail term for abusing the Naira has been transferred from the Ikoyi Correctional Center to the Kirikiri Prison by the Nigerian Correctional Service (NCS).

This is contrary to reports that Bobrisky is still being held at the Ikoyi Correctional Centre.

A very reliable source who is an official of the Nigeria Correctional Service (NCS) told LEADERSHIP that the popular cross-dresser is presently held at the Kirikiri Prison and was discreetly transferred since last weekend to Kirikiri.

He stated, “It is procedural that he is moved to Kirikiri since it is an expansive prison compared to what we have here.”

He added that due to security reasons, Okuneye was quietly moved to the facility where he will serve his term.

It would be recalled that Justice Abimbola Awogboro of the Federal High Court in Lagos sentenced the cross-dresser to six months imprisonment.

While sentencing the convict on Friday, April 12, 2024, the judge said the verdict would serve as deterrent to others who are fond of abusing and mutilating the naira.

Bobrisky is being identified as a male based on his admission at the court last week and according to reports that there is no realignment of gender or genital organs.

LEADERSHIP source affirmed that the convict has been taken to the male cell with other inmate “and so he will be treated as a normal inmate,” he said.

[Zebulun 1:1-37]
Zebulun, son of Jacob and Leah, recounts Joseph's ordeal partly

*1* THE copy of the words of Zebulun, which he enjoined on his sons before he died in the one hundred and fourteenth year of his life, two years after the death of Joseph.

*2* And he said to them: "Hear me, you sons of Zebulun attend to the words of your father.

*3* I, Zebulun, was born a good gift to my parents.

*4* For when I was born my father was increased very exceedingly, both in flocks and herds, when with the straked rods he had his portion.

*5* I have no consciousness of sin that I have sinned in all my days, except in the sin of thought.

*6* Nor yet do I remember that I have done any iniquity, except the sin of ignorance which I committed against Joseph; for I covenanted with my brethren not to tell my father what had been done.

*2* For all this thing's sake the Lord blessed me, and when all my brethren were sick, I escaped without sickness, for the Lord knows the purposes of each one.

*3* Have, therefore, compassion in your hearts, my children, because even as a man does to his neighbour, even so also will the Lord do to him.

*4* For the sons of my brethren were sickening and were dying on account of Joseph, because they showed no mercy in their hearts; but my sons were preserved without sickness, as you know.

*5* And when I was in the land of Canaan, by the sea-coast, I made a catch of fish for Jacob my father; and when many were choked in the sea, I continued unhurt.

*6* I was the first to invent a boat to sail on the sea, for the Lord gave me understanding and wisdom therein. 

*7* And I let down a rudder behind it, and I stretched a sail on another upright piece of wood in the midst.

*8* And I sailed therein along the shores, catching fish for the house of my father until we came to Egypt.

*9* And through compassion I shared my catch with every stranger.

This is why many have found totally astonishing the story of an unknown actress by the name Doris Ogala, who claimed the very private and hugely respected man of God defrauded her of N25m. According to her story, someone who was owing her money had given some money to Pastor Chris to give to her. She said the pastor explained that the man had given him N15m to give her N10m while he keeps N5m. Now she got to find out later that the man had actually asked Pastor Chris N35m to give to her and not N10, hence she was demanding for her balance of N25m and calling the man of God all manner of derogatory names in the process.

And this is where this empty female with a dead career is exposed for who she really is. For starters, why would she be claiming Pastor Chris was given N35m to give to her when the man whom she claimed sent the money is still very much alive? How come the man himself is not holding Pastor Chris by the neck and demanding for refund? Why would the man of God deny or lie he was given just N15m when the person that sent the money to him is still breathing?

And here is another pointer to the fact that her story has been built on nothing but absolute falsehood and wickedness. The man who sent the money, how come he hasn't come out to fight the pastor and demand for his money? Doris can simply hold him responsible for the money he is owing her by claiming he chose to send her money to her through a third party instead of sending to hee directly. 

And here is that part that totally rubbishes the story of this faceless actress. Why would Pastor Chris steal or defraud anyone of N25m?

Does this woman have any idea at all the size of the ministry that man sits atop? Does she have any inkling what that structure is worth interns of investment value? Does she even know the kind of powerful, silent millionaires who surround this man and who, at the snap of a finger will raise N25m for Pastor Chris in a matter of minutes if he puts forward such request? Does she even realise the staggering financial base of the man she is attempting to ridicule and defraud? No, I do not think so. And this is why many who have heard of this allegation think it stinks. It simply does not add up. It is replete with nothing but diabolic falsehood with an intent to defraud a respected man who has distinguished himself in the comity of renowned prophets and give him a bad name. 

But, as can be clearly seen, the entire plot has fallen flat on its face like a pack of badly arranged cards. It has to. There is no meeting point between darkness and light.

Characteristically, Pastor Chris, a very quiet and private man by nature, has stayed calm and quiet. He has not been the least bothered about the ranting of a broke and drowning woman whom he insists has absolutely no basis to make the sort of claims she's making. And to think that he, indeed, had come to the aid of this same lady a couple of times in the past when she ran into bad times and got into trouble with a couple of people. He was there to help her out. But perhaps what they say about the girl from the ghetto is right, you can take the girl away from the ghetto but you simply cannot take the ghetto away from the girl. She would always go back to her vomit.

Anyone who loves this lady should please advice her to desist from casting aspersions on the character of men of God, it is an adventure that will blow no good wind. You do not attempt to assassinate the character of a man that stood by you in your moment of despair and think that you won't incur the wrath of God. 
Pastor Chris has been quiet. But he is no fool. He is studying the situation and consulting with close aides. Slamming this Doris Ogala with a lawsuit is one of the options on the table.

The leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu, will on May 20 know his fate on the request for restoration of his revoked bail and the prayer to remove him from the custody of the Department of State Services (DSS) to house arrest.

Justice Binta Nyako of the Federal High Court, Abuja, fixed the date on Wednesday after taking arguments from Kanu’s legal team led by Alloy Ejimakor and that of the Federal Government, represented by Chief Adegboyega Awomolo, SAN.

Kanu, who has been in detention since 2021, in a motion argued by Ejimakor requested the court to restore the bail granted him in 2017 by the same Judge.

He told the court that contrary to the claim of the Federal Government, he did not jump bail or breach any of the conditions of the bail but had to escape out of the country when the military allegedly invaded his house.

The detained IPOB leader also said that he would have been killed if he had not escaped the way he did and accused the Federal Government of misleading the court to get the bail revoked in his absence.

He also asked the court to set aside the arrest warrant issued against him by the court while he was out of the country.

In a separate motion, also argued by his legal team, Kanu demanded his removal from the custody of the DSS to a house arrest or in the alternative, to remand him in prison.

Besides, he asked that his lawyers must be allowed unhindered access to him to enable him prepare for his defense in the terrorism charges against him, adding that until those conditions are met by the Federal Government in line with Section 36 of the 1999 constitution, he would not submit himself for trial.

However, the Federal Government’s legal team, led by Awomolo vehemently opposed granting of all the requests made by Kanu.

Among others, the senior lawyer said that, in a criminal matter, no defendant has the right to dictate to court how his prosecution would be conducted.

Awomolo told the court that Kanu was once admitted to bail but breached the bail by escaping out of the country under false claims.

The Senior lawyer argued that the fresh request for bail by Kanu is a gross abuse of court process, having been rejected earlier by the same court, adding that the only option available to the defendant is to go to the court of Appeal to challenge the rejection since the High Court cannot overrule itself.

On the request for removal from DSS custody, Awomolo said that the only safe and secured environment for Kanu remains the DSS custody in the interest of the safety of his life.

He urged the court to dismiss the allegation of hindered access to lawyers by Kanu, adding that, in his application and the supporting affidavit, he, Kanu failed to name any DSS operative hindering lawyers from accessing him or eavesdropping during conversation with lawyers.

Speaking with journalists after the proceedings, a House of Representatives member, Hon Ikenga Ugochinyere, praised the legal team of Kanu for standing to get fair trial for their client adding that, under the present circumstances, there would be no opportunity for Kanu to get better deal when his hands and legs are tied in the custody of the DSS.

He appealed to President Bola Tinubu to end the trial logjam by ensuring an out of court settlement for general peace to reign in the country.

Please note that 70 days of fasting is not 70 days without sex except if it is a "marathon" fasting. Fasting is usually From 12 midnight to 6pm, so when you break your fast between the hour of 6:01 to 11:59 satisfy your husband, don't ever engage in long fasting just because you want to avoid sex with your husband, you may end up hurting yourself so deeply.

You must ensure you have sex after breaking your fast or before you start. If you use fast to deprive of your body for forty days, four hundred days of fasting may not win him back later.

Sex is not one way to punish him for his offence. Your body is not yours, it belongs to him according to the Bible. You cannot deny him what is rightly his because you are angry. It is not right.

NELFUND says NIN, BVN mandatory for student loans, targets 1.2 million beneficiaries.

> The Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) has said that Nigerian students will need to present their National Identification Number (NIN) and Bank Verification Number (BVN) to access student loans.

In addition to these requirements, the students are also required to provide their Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination registration number. The Managing Director of NELFUND, Mr Akintunde Sawyerr, made this known during an interactive session with members of the Education Writers Association of Nigeria (EWAN) in Lagos.

He also disclosed that the Fund is targeting about 1.2 million beneficiaries in the first phase of the loan disbursements.

“About 1.2 million Nigerian students in tertiary institutions and government-recognized skill acquisition centers will be among the first batch of beneficiaries,” he said.

Source of the fund 

According to the managing director, the money to fund the loan scheme is 1% of the revenue generated by the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) annually.

He said that the management of the loan scheme would verify applications and attached requirements to ascertain eligibility. He said that disbursement would be in two segments.

“The school fee will be paid to the institution on behalf of the student and the stipend directly to the student’s account,” he said.

He added that financially indigent undergraduates, who need the loan for their education, are free to apply on a designed website and must provide their matriculation details. He said that the beneficiaries would be expected to start servicing the loans when they would secure jobs or set up businesses.

Recall that President Bola Tinubu earlier this month signed the newly revised Student Loans Re-enactment Bill, 2024 into law. The development followed the Senate and the House of Representatives independently evaluating the Committee on Tertiary Institutions and TETFund’s findings.

The executive bill, known as “A Bill for an Act to repeal the Students Loans (Access to Higher Education) Act, 2023, and to Enact the Student Loans (Access to Higher Education) Bill, 2024,” aims to create the Nigerian Education Loan Fund.

NIN as important national document 

Although Sawyerr said that the requirements for accessing the loan were to confirm eligibility, the inclusion of the NIN is part of the government’s broad policy of ensuring that every Nigerian is captured in the NIN database.

While registration for the number had been slow for years until the government made it mandatory for all telephone users to link their lines with their NIN, number of enrolment is still around 105 million as of now, according to the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC).

Earlier this week, the Head of Corporate Communications at the Commission, Mr. Kayode Adegoke, said the target of NIMC is to ensure that every Nigerian has the NIN in the next one to two years.

“As of today, over 105 million NIN have been issued to Nigerians and legal residents. We want to assure Nigerians that within the next one or two years, we will reach our target of enrolling all Nigerians,” he said.

EFCC reportedly barricades Kogi ex-Gov. Yahaya Bello’s house in Abuja amid N84billion fraud case
Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), have reportedly barricaded the house of the immediate past governor of Kogi State, Yahaya Bello in Wuse, Abuja.
It has been reported that the EFCC siege is coming days after the former governor held a meeting with President Bola Tinubu, at the State House.
On Wednesday, a top source shared the photograph showing how operatives of the EFCC barricaded the access road to the Bello’s house.

According to the source, “EFCC barricades Bello’ house in Abuja. No movement in the area as EFCC barricaded the house. They are yet to gain access.”
Although there was no immediate information available to the reason while the anti-graft agency stormed the former governor’s residence, it may be connected with the N84 billion fraud case against him which the EFCC is prosecuting.
The EFCC had charged the former governor with financial fraud to the tune of N84 billion.
The anti-graft commission in an amended charge, accused Bello of diverting N80 billion of state funds in September 2015, four months before he assumed office.
