Dangote Refinery IPO Set to Open Within 10–12 Days, Company Says
Aliko Dangote says the Dangote Petroleum Refinery’s initial public offering is expected to open within the next 10 to 12 days. The proposed share sale could raise about $5 billion and may become one of Africa’s largest IPOs. The refinery, which reached its 650,000-barrels-per-day nameplate capacity in February 2026, is targeting an expansion to 1.4 million barrels per day. It has reportedly tested output of up to 700,000 barrels per day. Dangote also said Dangote Cement is preparing for a possible secondary listing in London in October. Construction of a new refinery on Kenya’s coast is expected to begin on September 30 in partnership with East African governments.
