Guard Your Heart Against Malice
Malice begins when we hold on to revenge, resentment or a desire to see someone else fall. Scripture calls us to put away bitterness, anger, deceit and harmful speech, and to treat one another with kindness and forgiveness. Offences may come through disappointment, misunderstanding or hurt. Yet we do not have to remain offended. Forgiving someone does not excuse what they did; it frees our hearts from bitterness and helps us walk in the love of Christ. Today, let us ask God to search our hearts. We can replace resentment with prayers of blessing, compassion and grace. A heart free from malice brings peace to our relationships and keeps our fellowship with God unhindered. Prayer: Father, remove every root of bitterness and malice from my heart. Teach me to forgive, show mercy and reflect the character of Christ in all my relationships. Amen.
