Plateau University Sanctions 76 Students for Examination Malpractice

Plateau University Sanctions 76 Students for Examination Malpractice

Plateau University, Bokkos, has sanctioned 76 students for involvement in exam malpractice during the 2024/2025 second semester. Acting PRO Mr. Masara Kim said the punishments were approved by the Senate at its 102nd meeting chaired by Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic) Prof. Moses Galadima. The Senate Committee on Examination Misconduct found students with mobile phones in exam halls, illicit notes, and question-related inscriptions on their bodies. Sanctions follow the students’ handbook and range from rustication for one session to compulsory carryover of affected courses and outright expulsion in the most serious cases. University management reiterated its zero-tolerance policy. Vice-Chancellor Prof. Shedrach Best has consistently stressed the institution’s commitment to integrity, discipline, and strong moral values.
