Armed Thugs Hijack ADC Primary Materials, Assault Party Chair in Benue

Violence erupted during the ADC primary for the Apa/Agatu Federal Constituency in Benue when armed thugs ambushed a convoy carrying official election materials. The assailants seized the ballot boxes and violently ejected Hon. Sharon Adokpe from the moving vehicle before fleeing. No valid voting could take place under these conditions. The David Olofu Campaign Council condemned the attack and urged party leaders to nullify any results from the disrupted process. Campaign Secretary Dr. Friday Adakole Elijah called on security agencies to recover the stolen materials and hold any sponsors or beneficiaries accountable.
