Peace FC and Ozalla FA Draw 0-0 as Anambra Football League Opens
The second edition of the Anambra State Football League began on August 30, 2026, at Awka City Stadium, with Peace FC of Awka and Ozalla FA of Obosi playing out a goalless draw. Organisers said the competition is intended to strengthen grassroots football and help build a sustainable professional league structure in Anambra State. Teams were urged to compete fairly, follow the rules and use the league to showcase their talent. The opening ceremony featured a ceremonial kick-off, a march-past by participating teams and the unveiling of special kits for Team Anambra ahead of the National Intermediate Games.
