Lagos Begins 35-Day Ozumba Mbadiwe Road Rehabilitation on October 19

The Lagos State Government will begin a 35-day rehabilitation of Ozumba Mbadiwe Road on Monday, October 19, 2026. The work will cover the stretch between Adetokunbo Ademola Street near Civic Centre and Samuel Manuwa Street. A contraflow arrangement will operate on the Lagos-bound side from Samuel Manuwa to Adetokunbo Ademola Street while one lane is under repair. Motorists travelling from Bonny Camp, Falomo, Eko Hotel and nearby areas towards Civic Centre or Lekki are advised to use Adeyemo Alakija Street, Adeola Hopewell Street, Akinbo Savage Street and Bishop Aboyade Cole Street. They can then link the expressway through School Corner near Black Diamond towards Sandfield. Drivers should allow extra travel time and use the alternative routes to reduce congestion during the project.
