Akor Adams Earns Nigeria 3-3 Draw Against Russia in Six-Goal Friendly
A much-changed Super Eagles side drew 3-3 with Russia in an entertaining international friendly. Kelechi Iheanacho gave Nigeria an early lead in the 10th minute, but Lechi Sadulaev and Matvey Kislyak turned the game around before half-time. Aleksey Miranchuk then put Russia 3-1 ahead early in the second half. Osayande Edokpolor reduced the deficit in the 78th minute before Akor Adams completed Nigeria’s late comeback, finishing Umar Abubakar’s pass to secure the draw. The result offers Eric Chelle some encouragement after the previous defeat to Guinea-Bissau. Nigeria will face Tanzania in their next AFCON qualifying matches in November.
