Troops Rescue 10 Kidnap Victims in Katsina Operation
Troops of Sector 2, Operation FANSAN YAMMA, have rescued 10 people abducted from Unguwan Daudu and Unguwan Chibauna communities in Funtua Local Government Area of Katsina State. Acting on intelligence, troops deployed around the Sabuwa axis reportedly pursued the armed group as it fled with the victims. The pressure forced the abductors to abandon the captives and escape into the surrounding area. The rescued victims include three men, six women and an infant. They have been moved to safety and are expected to undergo medical checks before being reunited with their families.
