NNPC’s AKK Pipeline Promise: Has the Dubai Equipment Arrived?
November has arrived, and NNPC must clarify the status of the outstanding equipment needed for the Ajaokuta–Kaduna–Kano gas pipeline. The company had attributed a three-month delay to supply disruptions linked to the Middle East conflict and said the equipment was expected this month. Nigerians need clear, verifiable updates: what equipment is still outstanding, whether it has been shipped, when it will reach Nigeria, and which facilities depend on it. NNPC should also publish timelines for installation, testing and commissioning. Gas supply to Abuja before the end of 2026 is important for motorists using CNG and businesses serving the conversion market. November is the test for the equipment commitment, while December is the test for gas delivery. Nigerians deserve firm milestones, not another revised completion percentage.
