Abuja Residents Need Stronger Action Against Unsafe Fufu Production, I Believe

I am concerned about reports and personal observations of unsafe food-processing practices in Abuja. I believe consumer-protection and food-safety agencies, including NAFDAC, FCCPC, SON and NAQS, should investigate allegations of adulterated or poorly handled foods in local markets. I stopped buying fufu after noticing that a neighbour who once prepared it from fresh cassava began buying partly processed fufu in bags, finishing the preparation, packaging it and supplying retailers, eateries and restaurants. I am worried that some of these bags may be stored in unhygienic conditions and could be exposed to animals and contamination. Food regulators should inspect producers and suppliers, enforce hygiene standards, and protect consumers from unsafe products.
