FG Seeks Global Employers for Nigerian Talent, Targets 1 Million Export-Linked Jobs by 2030
The Federal Government has taken its Hire From Nigeria campaign to the United Nations General Assembly in New York, seeking to link Nigerian professionals and service providers with international employers. Through the National Talent Export Programme, the government aims to facilitate one million export-linked jobs by 2030. The programme is designed to help Nigerians secure remote contracts in technology, creative services and other skilled sectors while living in Nigeria. A digital services survey identified Nigerian providers across 17 sectors. The government says the initiative could boost services exports, foreign-exchange earnings and employment, although its success will depend on reliable internet, digital infrastructure, recognised skills and the ability of workers to meet global standards.
