David Silva Ends Retirement to Join Hong Kong Club Sha Tin at 40
Former Manchester City and Spain midfielder David Silva has come out of retirement to join Hong Kong side Sha Tin at the age of 40. Silva said he is looking forward to experiencing Hong Kong’s culture, food and football. Sha Tin said he will first settle in, train with the squad and build match fitness before making his debut. The 2010 World Cup winner retired in 2023 after suffering a serious knee injury during pre-season with Real Sociedad. During a decade at Manchester City, he won four Premier League titles, two FA Cups and five League Cups.
