Team Anambra Begins National Sports Festival Zonal Qualifiers in Owerri

Team Anambra has arrived in Owerri, Imo State, for the South-East zonal eliminations of the National Sports Festival. The 99-member contingent includes 72 athletes and 27 officials. The three-day qualifiers run from 12 to 14 September 2026. Anambra will compete in men’s football, men’s volleyball, men’s and women’s beach volleyball, men’s cricket, and men’s and women’s basketball. The team has been urged to stay focused and secure qualification in every event entered.
