Would an Isolated Community Recognise the Bible as God’s Word?
Imagine an isolated English-speaking community that has never encountered Christianity. It has no churches or missionaries and knows nothing about the Bible. One day, a Bible mysteriously arrives, and the people read it without anyone explaining or interpreting it for them. Would they independently recognise it as the word of their Creator and become Christians? Or would they see it as an ordinary text, with accounts of talking snakes, talking donkeys and flying chariots that seem like strange tales? Which outcome do you think is more likely, and why?
