Nollywood Actor Chief Ikwelle Chinyereze Celebrates New Yam Festival in Anambra
Chief Ikwelle Chinyereze, also known as Akaeze Oraukwu and N’Obi Ichie Ebo of Amaeze Village, hosted a colourful New Yam Festival at his home in Amaeze, Oraukwu, Anambra State. Indigenes, families, friends and visitors gathered to celebrate Igbo culture, tradition and community. The event featured the ceremonial cutting of new yam, traditional music, dancing and a parade of masquerades. Two gorilla masquerades thrilled the crowd with dramatic stunts, adding to the festive atmosphere. The celebration highlighted the cultural importance of Iri Ji Ọhụrụ in Igbo communities.
