Troops Arrest 61 Suspected Terrorist Collaborators, Including Alleged Dogo Gide Associate

The Nigerian military says troops arrested 61 suspected terrorist collaborators during intelligence-led operations carried out between August 12 and 13. One suspect, arrested at Kadage Checkpoint by troops of the 4 Demonstration Battalion, was allegedly transporting seven pairs of foreign camouflage uniforms to a terrorist camp. Military authorities said preliminary findings linked him to notorious bandit leader Dogo Gide. Items recovered reportedly included camouflage material, mobile phones, ATM cards and an identity card. In Adamawa, troops and local hunters arrested 60 suspects during a raid on a motor park in Gombi, where the suspects allegedly posed as hawkers and menial workers. Separate operations in Zamfara, Benue and Borno led to the recovery of an RPG bomb, the arrest of five suspects, and the interception of women and children said to have fled terrorist enclaves.
