UNIZIK Joins Global Maritime Silk Road Network, Partners with 74 Universities

Nnamdi Azikiwe University has formally joined the prestigious 21st Century Maritime Silk Road Universities Consortium. This move under Vice-Chancellor Prof. Ugochukwu Bond Stanley Anyaehie strengthens its global ties in education, research, innovation and cultural exchange. Membership grants UNIZIK access to collaborative projects with 74 universities across Asia and Europe. Students and faculty can now pursue joint research, exchange programmes, technology transfer and capacity-building initiatives. The university is also exploring AI partnerships with institutions in China, Turkey and Italy. Enhanced support for the Confucius Institute will boost language education, cultural exchange and scholarship opportunities.
