Queiroz Rejects Resignation Calls After Ghana’s 4-2 Collapse Against Gambia

Ghana coach Carlos Queiroz has ruled out resigning after the Black Stars squandered a 2-0 lead to lose 4-2 to Gambia in an AFCON 2027 qualifier. Ernest Nuamah and Felix Afena-Gyan gave Ghana a first-half advantage, but the team collapsed after the break to suffer a second consecutive qualifying defeat. Queiroz apologised to supporters but said replacing the coach would not solve Ghana football’s deeper problems. He urged the team to regroup ahead of their double-header against Somalia.
