NANS Exposes 43 Institutions Over Unrefunded Double Tuition Payments Under NELFUND
Days after the Nigerian Education Loan Fund began probing schools for duplicate fee payments, the National Association of Nigerian Students released a list of 43 institutions accused of refusing refunds. These universities, polytechnics and colleges of education operate across all six geopolitical zones. They allegedly failed to reimburse students who had paid tuition before NELFUND later covered the same fees. A NANS statement says the move aims to boost transparency and hold schools accountable. The goal is to ensure affected students receive their refunds without further delay. Highlighted institutions include Adamawa State University, Federal Polytechnic Mubi, University of Uyo, University of Nigeria Nsukka and Lagos State University of Education, among others.
