Sporting Lagos have confirmed the signing of attacking midfielder Haruna Hadi from relegated Remo Stars in a decisive bid to avoid the drop this season. Known by fans as HH16 in homage to his Lionel Messi fandom, Hadi arrives with a proven NPFL record. He scored 10 goals and provided 13 assists in 97 league appearances at Remo Stars after rising through the ranks at Stormers SC. Hadi also boasts a league title from 2025 and five appearances in the CAF Champions League. He has earned call-ups to the Super Eagles and featured in the 2025 CHAN tournament.
