Umahi Vows to Sue Over Rumours Surrounding Nurse’s Death

Sen. David Umahi says he has begun legal proceedings against those who spread false reports that a nurse died inside his Ebonyi residence. He condemned the so-called “freedom fighters” behind the defamatory posts. He explained that the nurse, who served at David Umahi Federal University Teaching Hospital for three years, was found unresponsive by her family and taken to hospital, where doctors were unable to revive her. He noted that the family and medical staff informed the police immediately. Umahi added that an autopsy will be conducted with the parents’ consent to dispel any suggestion of a cover-up. He also denied links to an alleged Ebubeagu kidnap suspect and called for severe punishment for anyone involved in kidnapping.
