RCCG Urges Nigerians to Pair Prayer With Integrity and Responsible Citizenship
The Redeemed Christian Church of God has urged Nigerians to remain hopeful and support national progress through prayer, integrity and responsible citizenship. At a six-hour worship programme held in Lagos to mark Nigeria’s 66th Independence Anniversary, Pastor Olusoji Adewumi said citizens should promote peace, reject corruption and contribute to the country’s development. He said the church prayed for peace, security, good governance, economic opportunities, young people, businesses and vulnerable Nigerians. The programme also featured worship, Scripture reading, thanksgiving and exhortations. Adewumi said prayer should lead to responsible action, adding that Nigeria’s future depends not only on government but also on citizens choosing unity, service and integrity.
