A Biblical Reflection on Pride, Oppression and Liberation

I believe pride leads oppressors towards destruction. Drawing on Proverbs, Obadiah and Revelation, I see greed, violence, exploitation and the destruction of the earth as consequences of rejecting God’s authority. I believe Africans must reject every form of oppression and seek spiritual freedom through Yeshua Hamashiach. Luke 4:18 speaks of liberty for the oppressed, and I understand this message as a call for Black and Brown people to pursue liberation and truth. In my view, Africans who support oppression or act against the interests of their people should reflect seriously on the consequences of their choices. This is a faith-based message intended for Africans and Black people, while respecting other communities’ right to their own beliefs and worship.
