His support comes as UEFA, CONCACAF and the AFC accuse Infantino of undermining trust through his now-withdrawn proposal to bring private investors into FIFA competitions. UEFA has called for Infantino to resign and warned it could boycott FIFA tournaments if the privatisation plan returned. Infantino, who has led FIFA for 10 years, is eligible to seek a fourth and final term at the 2027 FIFA Congress.
