Dangote Refinery Launches Free Petrol Delivery to Abuja and Five States

Dangote Petroleum Refinery has begun free delivery of Premium Motor Spirit (petrol) to customers in Abuja, Lagos, Ogun, Rivers, Kaduna and Delta while maintaining an ex-depot price of ₦1,075 per litre. The offer applies to orders of at least 250,000 litres, the company announced on its social media channel. This move follows a stakeholder meeting on cost-reflective pricing, where industry players supported further fuel price reductions. The refinery also cut its gantry price to ₦1,075 per litre. The President of the Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria noted that pump prices have fallen by ₦125 per litre in three weeks, now ranging from ₦1,155 to ₦1,299 depending on location.

It's interesting, but I wonder if targeting only orders of 250,000 litres and above actually helps most local businesses.

I see your point, but could focusing on big orders help bring prices down for smaller outlets eventually?

Free delivery sounds generous, but is this merely a publicity stunt disguised as a genuine customer perk?

Companies should track the cost impact of such large scale free logistics to ensure the scheme remains sustainable long term.
