NYSC DG Urges Anambra Corps Members to Build Skills, Networks and Stay Safe
NYSC Director-General Brigadier General Olakunle Oluseye Nafiu has urged 2026 Batch C, Stream I corps members in Anambra State to take skills acquisition seriously, build useful relationships and remain security-conscious. During a visit to the Nnamdi Azikiwe NYSC Unity Permanent Orientation Camp in Awka South, he said skills learned through the SAED programme could provide important support after national service. He also encouraged corps members to respect the cultures and laws of their host communities and approach their places of primary assignment responsibly. The DG said the NYSC was working with security agencies to prevent further kidnappings of prospective corps members. He advised them to avoid night travel and remain vigilant throughout their service year. He also inspected the quarter guard, watched cultural and martial arts performances, donated two cows to the corps members and served them lunch.
