Demba Ba Quits Le Havre Role After Four Months as Club Faces Leadership Crisis
Former Chelsea striker Demba Ba has resigned as sporting director of French club Le Havre, just four months after taking the role. He reportedly left amid growing instability at the club. The departure follows the sacking of head coach Didier Digard after Le Havre’s 5–1 home defeat to Paris Saint-Germain. The result extended the club’s poor start: Le Havre have earned just two points from their first nine Ligue 1 matches and sit bottom of the table. Club president Jean-Michel Roussier has also resigned in protest over Digard’s dismissal. Owner Blue Crow now faces the task of rebuilding the club’s leadership while trying to turn around its season.
