Tuchel Leaves Palmer Out as Jobe Bellingham Earns First England Call-Up
Thomas Tuchel has named his England squad for the November Nations League matches against Croatia and Spain, leaving out Cole Palmer and giving Jobe Bellingham his first senior call-up. Tuchel has previously cited Palmer’s withdrawals from international camps when explaining his omissions. Jobe’s inclusion also raises the possibility of him playing alongside his older brother Jude for England for the first time. If both feature, they could become the third set of brothers to represent the national team concurrently in the modern era. Harry Kane is also in line to claim England’s appearance record. The striker is reported to be level with Peter Shilton on 125 caps and would move ahead if he plays in either match. Fulham teenager Josh King has also been included in the squad.
