ICPC Quizzes 92 Ojukwu University Staff in Special Intervention Fund Probe
The Independent Corrupt Practices Commission has invited 92 staff of Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University, Igbariam, for questioning over alleged diversion of a special intervention fund. The probe focuses on potential breaches of procurement rules, abuse of office, and conflict of interest in the use of public funds. In a letter to the vice chancellor dated July 2, the ICPC set July 7–24 for interviews at its Awka office. The commission cited relevant sections of the Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Act, 2000, in its investigation. Staff members are allowed to bring a lawyer, Justice of the Peace, or other representative under the Administration of Criminal Justice Act, 2015.
