Anambra Police Hold Arms Drill to Improve Officers’ Readiness and Safety
The Anambra State Police Command held a specialised arms drill and operational exercise at its Awka headquarters on September 8, 2026, to strengthen officers’ weapon-handling skills, discipline and tactical coordination. The exercise was supervised by AIG Miller Gajere Dantawaye of Zone 13, which covers Anambra and Enugu states. Participating officers received practical training on safe weapon handling, arms drill, coordinated response and compliance with operational procedures. Commissioner of Police Nnanna Oji Ama urged the personnel to apply the training professionally in the field and to uphold the law, police policies and safety standards while responding to security challenges across the state.
