Olu Jacobs’ Funeral Service Set for October 2 in Lagos
The family of veteran Nigerian actor Olu Jacobs has announced that his funeral service will hold on Friday, October 2, 2026, at 10 a.m. at This Present House in Lekki Phase 1, Lagos. Guests are expected to wear shades of green. A Night of Tributes is also scheduled for Wednesday, September 30, at 4 p.m. at Glover Memorial Hall on Lagos Island. The dress code for the tribute event is shades of blue. His widow, Joke Silva, has invited President Bola Tinubu to join the family for the ceremonies. The events will honour Jacobs’ more than five decades of contributions to theatre, film and Nigeria’s creative industry.
