Late Ahmed’s Mother Denies In-Laws Tried to Lock Widow Out of Matrimonial Home
The mother of late Ahmed has responded to allegations by her daughter-in-law, Tosin Omolola, that her in-laws began harassing her days after her husband’s death and tried to lock her out of her matrimonial home. She denied that a viral video of her husband, 62-year-old Omolola David, locking an estate gate showed an attempt to seize Tosin’s home. According to her, the clip was recorded in 2024 at the family’s residence during an earlier dispute while Ahmed was ill. She alleged that the family brought Ahmed and his children to their home because they believed he was not receiving proper care. She said Tosin came to the residence and that her husband locked the gate to prevent the confrontation from escalating. The matter is now before the court. David was arraigned on charges of threat to life and assault, granted bail, and is reportedly still in custody pending the fulfilment of his bail conditions.
