Are Phones and Digital Learning Contributing to Falling Literacy?

A teacher in the United States says some final-year students still struggle to read and write. The concern has renewed debate about whether heavy reliance on phones, computers and the internet is weakening basic literacy. Sweden has also moved to reduce digital learning in some schools, with a renewed focus on physical books, paper and pens to improve literacy. I believe Nigeria should learn from these examples instead of copying every digital-learning trend. Giving young children unrestricted access to expensive phones and tablets may expose them to poor role models and distractions rather than meaningful learning.
