APC Donates ₦52m to Families of 37 Niger Miners Who Died in NSCDC Custody

The All Progressives Congress has donated ₦52 million to the families and survivors of 37 miners who died while in the custody of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps in Niger State. Governor Umaru Bago announced the donation during a condolence visit by the party’s National Working Committee, led by National Chairman Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda. He said a committee led by Deputy Governor Yakubu Garba, working with the Emir of Minna, would oversee distribution to the affected beneficiaries. The APC chairman offered condolences to the victims’ families and acknowledged the security challenges facing Niger State. The party also pledged support for the state government’s response to the incident.
