NiDCOM Says Foreigners Are Increasingly Seeking Nigerian Passports

NiDCOM Chairman Abike Dabiri-Erewa says her office has received a growing number of requests from foreign nationals seeking Nigerian passports. Speaking at a press briefing in Abuja, she said some applicants had asked the commission to appeal to the President on their behalf. According to her, many are drawn by opportunities to invest and build stronger connections with Nigeria. She recalled an interaction with a woman who said she had visited Nigeria and no longer wanted to return to her country of residence.
