Army Arrests Suspected Kidnapper, Seizes N2m Ransom, IED and Rifle in Enugu Raids
Troops of the Nigerian Army’s 82 Division carried out clearance operations in Ajali Forest, Ezeagu LGA under Operation UDO KA. They recovered an anti-tank improvised explosive device after three failed detonation attempts and cleared forest enclaves of proscribed group elements using bulldozers and chainsaws. In a separate raid at Adani, Uzo-Uwani LGA, soldiers acted on actionable intelligence to apprehend a suspect’s brother. They recovered a pump-action rifle and N2 million traced as ransom for a kidnapped victim. All suspects and seized items have been handed over to the relevant authorities for further investigation. Operations were completed successfully without incident.
