Timi Frank Calls for Probe into Mysterious Death of PFIPC Intermediary
Former APC spokesman Timi Frank is calling for a full forensic probe into the death of Dolapo Babatunde Tanimola. Tanimola was the key intermediary in the appointment and bribery scandal linked to the Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council. Frank wants the US, EU and other international partners to help uncover what really happened. The presidency says police confirmed Tanimola died in an Abuja hotel days before PFIPC boss Adeniyi Adeyemi was arrested. He argues PFIPC could not have operated with police escorts, official vehicles and government offices without high-level backing. Frank highlights reports that the council recruited 300 staff, opened a CBN account and secured presidential approval for its activities. Describing the affair as "monumental corruption of the century," he urges Nigerians, civil society groups and thought leaders to demand accountability. He warns that this scandal shows President Tinubu lacks control of his government and should not serve beyond 2027.
