Nigerians Share Costly House-Hunting Experiences With Agents and Landlords

For many Nigerians, finding an apartment has become an expensive and exhausting process. Rent seekers describe paying repeated inspection fees for properties that do not match their requests, while some agents fail to show up or cannot properly locate the homes they advertise. One Lagos renter said she paid inspection fees to more than 15 agents before receiving a defective apartment with leaking walls and mould.
