Otti Mourns Abia-Born Pilot Killed in NAF ATR-42 Crash
Abia Governor Alex Otti has mourned Squadron Leader Ahamefule Man-Ugwueje, an Abia-born pilot who died in Monday’s Nigerian Air Force ATR-42 aircraft crash in Igbokoda, Ondo State. Man-Ugwueje was among the crew members on board NAF 931. The governor described the crash as painful and devastating for the victims’ families, the Nigerian Air Force and the country. Otti noted that the pilot had married Flight Lieutenant Damilola Adekunle barely two weeks before the tragedy. He extended condolences to the families of all 25 people who died, the Nigerian Air Force, the Federal Government and the people of Umuahia, where Man-Ugwueje was from.
