Following Jesus’ Teachings Rather Than Religious Institutions
I believe Christians should focus more on Jesus’ teachings than on religious institutions or personalities. To me, the message of truth, compassion and freedom matters more than the messenger’s status or the buildings built around faith. I question the belief that Jesus came specifically to die for people’s sins. I see his death as the result of opposition to teachings that challenged established religious authority and material interests. I also believe truth can be expressed through different teachers and traditions. The important task is to examine the message carefully, rather than accepting every religious claim without reflection.
