King Solomon’s 1,000 Wives, Only Three Children: A Biblical Puzzle

I read that Solomon had 300 main wives and 700 concubines, yet the Bible only mentions three children. Even ancestors with just one wife often had more offspring. His father David was famously fertile, so I wonder if Solomon refused to recognize other children or if he struggled with infertility. I may be wrong, but I’m looking for insight from philosophers or Bible scholars on this dilemma.
