Over 2,000 Anambra Residents Receive Free Malaria, Typhoid and Health Screening Services
More than 2,000 residents of Ekwulobia in Anambra State received free medical services during a two-day community health outreach. The programme offered malaria, typhoid, tuberculosis, hepatitis and HIV screening, counselling, treatment drugs, eye tests, chest examinations, blood-pressure checks and health-insurance enrolment support. Organisers said the outreach was aimed at making basic healthcare more accessible, particularly during the rainy season when malaria cases often rise in rural communities. The initiative was held in collaboration with the Anambra State AIDS Control Agency and a disease-control network.
