The Federal Government has directed the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority to place 46 contacts of an Ebola patient on a 21-day no-fly list. The contacts include 44 people linked to the patient at a hospital after symptoms developed and two domestic staff. Health authorities are isolating and monitoring them while tracing possible infections. The patient was reported to be a diplomat who arrived in Abuja from Uganda and was confirmed to have Ebola Bundibugyo virus disease. Airports are also increasing health screening, temperature checks, travel-history checks and digital health declarations in coordination with the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control and Prevention.
